JCN of Ealing Road & High St

Road works have gone in here and within hours there has been a nasty accident involving a small child.It's been looking like that all afternoon. Cars and particularly vans, have been U turning, racing up side streets , up pavements and driving aggressively having lost patience with the delays.HGVs have been thundering down Albany road way too fast and too big.But worst of all was the accident amid the chaos. Child was noticeable in shock but will probably be OK.A better diversion needs to be looked at and imposed,,asap

Pleased to say that for once it seems to have been tweaked sorted out and has been much better this week than last. Or have I spoken too soon!!

Once again Brentford residents are being subjected to massive inconvenience due to inefficient companies being allowed to dig up roads. They should be working night and day to clear this blight on our lives.We can only expect more with the almost uncontrolled flat building in this area.

Again nothing being done at 9am this morning. Mr Calvi-Freeman is sorely missed as at least he would trigger some reaction to the complaints.

Doesn't it wind you up when they start something then vanish? Happens all the time. It is not confined to roadworks, we are (again) having to watch Hopeless Homes contractors working on a house near us that has now been empty for nearly a year, they come, do a day - or a couple if you're really lucky, then disappear for ages, isn't there such a thing as a Clerk of Works these days? Half the country seems to be unfinished one way or another, is there a law that says you start but don't work through to the finish anymore? Grrr!

Agreed, as yet I've not seen any activity either, and supposedly this work is going to last "approximately" 3 weeks.  Traffic queues bad enough this week with the schools off, so going to be a nightmare next week and the week after.

A better diversion, yes. Better still, have someone actually do the work and get rid of it altogether. I haven't seen a soul working there...
