Ellar out of favour?

Seems that Cllr Curran is to be the new Leader of the Council and Cllr Mann the Deputy and as many thought that Ellar would be a shoe in for the top job has he become a victim of the new administration?

It has to be good news that Councillors from the eastern end of the borough are now in influential positions.

I wasn't aware that Cllr. Dennison was ever out of favour, and it is the case that the Feltham end of the borough have always dominated the Labour group so it's nice to see some changes at last. Now if I could get my missed black bag picked up, having been told it would be collected yesterday before 7.00.a.m. my life would be complete!

I gather Theo is to be in Labour's new Cabinet...so it seems there have certainly been some key internal promotions and demotions. Some describe it as a wind of change.Rumour has it that the Syon Councillor will be the Lead Member for Finance.

On a personal level I like Councillor Curran too, but I have real concerns about the implications for community engagement in the light of some of the things that occurred on his watch as Lead Member.If this does turn out to be true I will drop him a line to clarify precisely what his intentions are on this score.

Blimey! One day, if I live long enough Hounslow will go mad and actually have a woman Leader. I like Steve Curran, but Leader? We'll have to wait and see.
