Farmers market

With apologies if it is somewhere else on the site and I have missed it - but does anyone know when or if the Farmers Markets are to resume?

News item with photo on the front page today (sunday)  but it's not possible to click onto the news story ..yet.Is Matt still sobbing after Brentford's draw in the Cup Match yesterday.PS: recognise one of our hard-working residents in the photo...waiting to try those apples?

Yes Phil, I did buy the bread - not sure which one I liked the best the spicy tomato or the spinach & feta YUM YUM. Must admit I have never frequented the Inverness - do you have to be a member? It's very easy to walk to from my house (and even easier to glide back after a few!).I also bought chick peas with onion, and broad beans, yummy!

Thanks for the info. I have never been as so far it has coincided with Saturdays that I work. Mrs W will be along though to get some more goodies - sadly the cheese and dairy stuff is off limits to me :(

Its a good job that large container of Farmhouse Cider did not split open in your bag as well Phil. ;-)

LizDid you buy the Moroccan bread with the lentils?  It's a tad expensive, but they blend perfectly together.  Here's my recipe:1. Purchase one large cup of spicy lentils and four slices of Moroccan bread.  Place both in a carrier bag together.2. Visit the Inverness Club and place carrier bag roughly onto table.3. Consume several pints of Guinness.4. Run for 267 whilst shaking bag vigorously without checking whether lid is still on cup.5. Consume directly from carrier bag, preferably at home but can be done on 267 if you feel you could use the attention.Enjoy!

Because I'm very greedy I bought 4 different types of cheese- all lovely, in addition to the chillies I recommend the cumin seeded one. Looking forward to stocking up again...

Good news! I'll have to look out for that cheese. Hope the Moroccan food stall is there again - their lentils were gorgeous.

John: The good news is that the next Brentford Farmers' Market is scheduled...so I believe from previous news items on this site...on the first Saturday in February.Matt,our Webmaster, is one of the organisers behind the scenes and he'll have a news item soon...I would imagine.The thought that those Scotch Eggs will soon be travelling down the M4 to us... from that Bristol Farm ..has raised my spirits all of a sudden! Did you go before?  What do you reckon on it?
