West Putney postman was caught on camera with his duckling assistant

Ducks are commonly seen in Putney along the Embankment but recently one rather oversized duckling was seen assisting a local postie, Richard with his delivery!

Local resident Deborah James tweeted: "As I bumped into him on my run today I asked him why he was dressed up. He does it simply in his words “to make my customers smile”........ simple!"

A Royal Mail Spokesperson commented on their staff fashion sense: “Over the last few weeks we have been inundated with messages and pictures from our customers across the country in praise of the extra lengths our postmen and women have been going - during the coronavirus crisis to raise spirits, and money for local charities. We know that local communities really value what our postmen and women are doing in these challenging times, and we’re really proud of them, too”.
