The Italian Plumber's Tip Of The Month

Got a garden? Get a tap

It's halfway through May 2020. The sun is shining, the air has way less pollution than usual, and you can guarantee that no one will bump into you when taking a walk.

Just one problem, it's the horrid COVID-19 lockdown that's caused these rays of sunshine.

Oh well, every cloud and all that. But there is one other plus side. If you are fortunate enough to own a garden, there has never been a better time to get stuck in and turn it into your dream oasis.

Spring is over. It's time to clear the dead flowers and make way for the new. And with lockdown restrictions lifted ever so slightly, you can get yourself down to the garden centre (they're open) and stock up on some bargain flowers, seedlings, and hanging baskets.

Now, if you are one of those people that has to open your kitchen window, and do a kind of contortionist trick to attach your hose to your sink's tap, it's time to stop.

Or are you twisting your back like a gymnast in order to fill up your watering can and haul it across the garden? Hey, that's not good. If you're not feeling the pain now, you soon will.

That water is heavy.

So, here's the solution. Get yourself an outside garden tap, right in a place that's convenient for you. No more heavy lifting. No more contortionist tricks. And equally as important – no more wasted time doing a mundane job. You need to be enjoying every moment you can, whilst we have the opportunity. And if your garden is particularly long (you lucky thing) why not get two? One at each end. Hey, just go for it. Make life easy.

It really isn't that expensive. It can be done in super-quick time… usually a few hours, and we can even install a nice new shiny bracket to hang your hose on.

If you would like to book an outdoor tap installation, give us a call on 020 8945 7457.
And if you're in a hurry, we can usually get it sorted within a day or two.
