Ghost stories and a gothic horror play at Boston Manor House

Two local historic buildings are offering a series of spooky events around Halloween.
Hogarth’s House in Chiswick is hosting Masque Macabre, Halloween late, ‘of devilish delight and ghoulish goodies’. Fortunes will be told, masks made, and gruesome, ghostly tales await in an event for adults.
It is taking place on Saturday 26 October from 6pm to 9pm and early bird tickets are available at £11.55.
Other spooky offerings include joining Will Seaward at Boston Manor House who will be telling high gothic, Halloween ghost stories, for adults aged-18-years and over on Wednesday 30 October and Thursday 31 October.
Described by critics as “a cross between Brian Blessed, Oscar Wilde and a crazed Victorian Music Hall MC” The Telegraph and “genuinely, terrifyingly charismatic” The Skinny, Will has appeared on BBC 2, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 4 Extra and BBC Radio 5 Live, plus ABC Australia and Italy’s Rai 3.

The house is also staging a new adaptation by Jack Faiery of Frankenstein courtesy of Hounslow Arts Centre. Running until Sunday 27 October, it tells how Mary Shelley came to write her tale of a man wracked by grief and fear who wished to heal his broken heart. The production is suitable for children and adults aged 11-years and older.
