Brentford FC is teaming up with the Steel Can Recycling Information Bureau (SCRIB) to encourage their young fans to go green this summer.

The football team is backing SCRIB’s Yes You Can recycling initiative which encourages recycling by young people and in schools, offering a family ticket to a match to the creative young fan who can design the best recycling poster.

Two runners up will also receive SCRIB learning resources and goody bags for their schools.

Nicola Bennett from Corus comments: “We’re delighted to team up with Brentford FC, who already work hard in the community and are heroes to local children. By asking them to creatively think about recycling, we can ensure sustainability is at the front of their minds and I’m sure the children of Middlesex will produce some fantastic entries.”

Brentford FC’s Amy Crook said: “It’s so important for local children and schools to be aware of the importance of recycling and how it can help our environment, so it’s a pleasure to be able to support the project.  Good luck to all our young fans!”

To enter, simply design an A4 poster which promotes recycling and features steel cans somewhere within the design.  Send to Yes You Can Competition, c/o Ashley McKeown, Euro RSCG Biss Lancaster, 52 Princess Street, Manchester M1 1JX by 5pm on 31st July.

SCRIB
SCRIB is sponsored by Corus, the international metals company. Corus is one of Europe’s leading suppliers of high quality packaging steel and focuses on innovative new materials, applications and processing technologies whilst working closely with business partners to increase value all along the supply chain.

Corus Steel Packaging Recycling
Corus Steel Packaging Recycling (CSPR), a subdivision of Corus, is working hard to promote the recycling of all types of steel packaging, so that we can keep increasing the amount of steel that is recycled, help preserve the earth’s natural resources and divert material from landfill.
