Apply Now to Celebrate on April 14 with Brentford FC Community Sports Trust
Community groups are being invited to join in the celebrations to mark Brentford Football Club Community Sports Trust’s Silver Jubilee this year.
The Trust marks its 25th anniversary in 2012 and Brentford Football Club is playing its part in commemorating the jubilee.
As revealed last week, Brentford will be playing in a special one-off silver kit for the npower League One game against Notts County on April 14, subject to Football League approval.
The Club has also made 2,000 Silver Community Tickets in The Bill Axbey Stand available for the fixture and the trust is inviting community groups to get in touch and get their tickets for the celebration match.
The initiative is an extension of the 50/50 Ticket Scheme – where tickets are sold to community groups to the financial benefit of both the group in question and the Trust – and the tickets for the Notts County game will be available to bona fide groups with money split between the group, the Club and the Trust.
The tickets will be available to groups of 20 or more people with a ratio of one adult to four children.
They will cost £12 for adults and £4 for children with the Trust, the Club and the group sharing the revenue raised.
There is also a special initiative for large groups – those with 50 or more people get their photograph taken pitch side and a signed football while those with 100 or more people will get a picture and a signed Brentford shirt.
Brentford Football Club Community Sports Trust started out in 1987 as a partnership between Brentford Football Club and Hounslow and Ealing Councils with a single employee.
The Brentford FC Football in the Community Programme, as it then was, has grown in to a stand-alone charity with hundreds of staff and volunteers working across 20 sports delivering thousands of hours of coaching a year.
The Trust has also expanded further into a wide range of areas including supporting young carers, being involved youth intervention, running an Over 50’s Club – based at Griffin Park, organising curricular and non-curricular sports at more than 60 schools and setting up a Kayaking Arch at Kew Bridge.

“The new Silver Community Ticket offer provides community groups, football clubs and schools to generate significant funds for investment into their group and also engages Brentford FC with a new generation of potential supporters.
“Whilst Notts County is the celebration game we are also running the offer for other home games this season too.”
The 50/50 Ticket Scheme will be running at every Brentford home npower League One game.
Groups can take advantage of the offer more than once but are asked to keep to the spirit of the scheme.
