Sustaina-Bees is a fan-led group of Brentford FC supporters
January 16, 2026
Brentford FC supporters and residents across Hounslow and Ealing are being invited to take part in a new cycle ride leader training session later this month, thanks to a partnership between London Cycling Campaign (LCC), Voi and the fan-led sustainability group Sustaina-Bees.
The free training event takes place on Sunday 25 January, offering a sociable and confidence-building introduction to leading community rides. Organisers say the session is designed for anyone who wants to support and strengthen the local cycling community, whether they are seasoned riders or complete newcomers to group leadership.
The training begins at 10.30am at the Gtech Community Stadium and finishes at 1.30pm, giving participants plenty of time to head straight into the stands for Brentford’s 2pm kick-off against Nottingham Forest.
Riders can take part using their own bike, but those who need one can reserve a free Voi e-bike for the session. Everyone who completes the training will also receive 12 months of free LCC membership, normally worth £57, subject to conditions.
Places are limited and advance registration is required.
London Cycling Campaign is a charity representing more than 12,000 members across the capital. Its work focuses on removing barriers to cycling, improving safety, and promoting cycling as the most convenient and sustainable choice for everyday local journeys. The organisation argues that increasing cycling rates brings significant environmental, health and economic benefits for Londoners.
Sustaina-Bees, an independent group of Brentford supporters, brings a fan-led perspective to environmental issues. The group aims to spark open conversations about sustainability across the club’s community, encouraging supporters, local partners and the club itself to take part in the wider journey toward a greener future.
The collaboration reflects a wider push to make active travel more accessible and to build local networks of trained volunteers who can lead safe, welcoming community rides. For Brentford fans, it also offers a chance to combine matchday excitement with practical climate-positive action.
