Motorcyclist left pedestrian fighting for his life after collision

A 65-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after being hit by a motorcyclist outside the Ace Café on the North Circular Road.

The rider failed to stop at the scene after the collision with the pedestrian which took place at around 9.52pm on Sunday, 13 August.

The injured man, a 65-year-old pedestrian, was conveyed to a central London hospital. He remains in hospital and his condition is described as critical but stable. His next of kin have been informed.

On Monday, 14 August a 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of an accident and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He was taken to a Hertfordshire police station and later released under investigation.
The motorcycle involved in the collision has yet to be located.

Officers from the Met's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating.
