World's Largest Audi Centre Opens on A4

Inspiration for £45 million imposing curved structure drawn from nature art & science

Monday 19th October will see the official opening of the world’s largest Audi Centre.

Costing £45 million, the imposing new building situated on A4's Chiswick / Brentford borders has already been christened with a star studded party with guests including Bryan Ferry, Gordon Ramsay, Phil Glenister, James Cordon, Davina McCall, Sir Bobby Charlton and Sir Jackie Stewart.

Six years in the planning and execution, the 190,000 sq ft Audi Centre is prominent from the elevated section of the M4. Its seven storeys incorporate three showroom floors and two basement levels housing a workshop. The top two storeys are given over to a business and creative complex.

The highly distinctive curved structure was created by architects Wilkinson Eyre, famous for the design of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Inspiration was drawn from nature, art and science to create "an exciting and technologically advanced sculptural form."

“In its scope, size and complexity, West London Audi is like nothing we’ve built before. It is 100 times more complicated than a normal retail centre,” said Jeremy Hicks, director of Audi UK.
