Marathon Walk Of Hope

Walk 13, 26 or a mini 5.2 miles to raise money for children's charity

Hope for Children are looking for people to walk 13 or 26 miles or a Mini Marathon of 5.2 miles* for the Charity.

HOPE is a charity that works primarily through voluntary efforts to assist children who suffer through being handicapped, orphaned, poor and exploited in developing countries, and in the UK. Projects to be supported include:

PCF PHILIPPINES The Philippine Community Fund school gives children living on rubbish dumps a chance of an education. Our partners PCF are building a school out of cargo containers. Funds from The Walk of Hope will help fund the building of classrooms and teaching equipment. £50 will fund one child for one year. Hope are also funding street educators for 220,000 street and working children in the Philippines.

BATTICALOA, SRI LANKA Recent terrible floods in Sri Lanka have forced 1,249.533 people from their homes. Worst affected is Batticaloa, an area previously badly affected by the Tsunami of 2004. Some of the worst affected are disabled children and their families. Hope are helping 400 families with disabled children in this area.
