There's a good chance you're right - especially if you live in Hounslow!
A poll released this week by dating and friendship website www.makefriendsonline.com asked men directly (and more importantly anonymously) whether they would cheat if they thought they could get away with it and an amazing one in four admitted they would. In addition, almost half that figure don’t even believe monogamy is possible, although it’s unlikely that’s an opinion they share with the women in their lives!
Not very encouraging for the female population however things get worse. The place to avoid is apparently Hounslow Borough where the inhabitants were not only more willing to cheat than any other UK location (27%) but were also the highest scoring non-believers in monogamy at 15%.
According to the poll, the propensity to cheat increased relative to a person’s income with 30% of high earners being eager to cheat if the opportunity presented compared to only 16% of those on a low income.
More quirky breakdowns revealed the most faithful starsign to be Taurus, the sign most likely to cheat if they could get away with it was Aries and the sign least likely to even believe in monogamy was Gemini.
And (hot topic in the area at the moment) those who avoid smokers may also be surprised to learn that smokers emerged marginally more faithful than those who abstain.
So if you want to find your perfect partner via location then you need to look in Barking or Merton where you’ll find faithful souls who achieved a top place tie with 93% of inhabitants refusing to cheat under any circumstances but avoid Hounslow like the plague!
