Police appeal for help to trace missing pet

Ealing Borough Police would like to appeal for help in finding a dog which was stolen from it’s owner whilst being walked last week.  The offence took place in Brassie Avenue W3 at 4.35pm on Thursday 19 January 2006.

The victim, a 13 year old male from Acton, was walking his dog (named Sargy) in Old Oak Common Lane, Acton with friends when he was approached by the suspect.

The suspect struck up conversation with the victim about Sargy, commenting on how nice the dog was and how old it was. The victim and his friends then continued and were half way up Brassie Avenue, W3 when the suspect approached the group again. This time the suspect walked straight up to the victim and picked up the dog.

The victim was still holding the lead and the suspect asked him to let go. The victim refused at which point the suspect punched the victim three times around the head until he eventually let go of Sargy’s lead.

The suspect then fled along Brassie Avenue, towards Old Oak Common Lane where he was sighted getting into a silver BMW, possibly a 1 Series model, which was last seen turning right into Foliot Street, W3.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 16 years old, 5’06”, black hair, thin build, black baseball cap, black hoodie, with red writing, black tracksuit bottoms and white and black trainers.
