Man arrested after bag snatch outside police station

A Brentford man has been accused of snatching a woman's handbag outside Ealing police station.

Matensz Breslin, aged 18 of Clayton Crescent is due to appear at Ealing Magistrates Court on Wednesday 30th July 2008 charged with Theft from the Person.

The incident occurred on the Uxbridge Road on Monday 21st at 2.37am in full view of a marked police car. Ealing Borough Police Officers were stationary in the vehicle in the emergency entrance/exit at Ealing Police station, when they witnessed a male snatch the handbag of a female.

They saw a man approach two females from behind and snatch the handbag of a 28 year old female from Southall. He then ran along the Uxbridge Road and the officer chased him catching up with him in Longfield Road. The victim did not

The male then decamped along the Uxbridge Road, W5. The victim was not injured and all her belongings were recovered.
