14 year old boy told to expect trial by jury for stabbing another youth

The Chiswick teenager charged with stabbing another boy has been told he could face trial by jury.

The 14-year-old appeared at Brentford Magistrates' Court charged with wounding with intent, possession of a bladed article, possession of an offensive weapon and common assault.

The incident happened on Wednesday 17th June at the entrance to Redlees Park behind Isleworth Library.

Officers and London Ambulance Service were called to the scene to discover a male, aged 15 years, suffering from several stab wounds to the upper body.

He was taken to West Middlesex Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

No application for bail was made on behalf of the accused teenager who is currently on remand in a secure unit.

He will appear again at Brentford Magistrates' Court on July 21.
