Three Year Prison Sentence For Chiswick Teenager

After Criminal Appeal Court judges previous ruling to be 'severely unduly lenient'

A Chiswick teenager who stabbed another boy six times has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Last year the 15 year old, who can not be named because of his age, was given a three year supervision and surveillance order for the crime provoking an outcry from the community because of its leniency.

Appearing before London's Criminal Appeal Court on Friday 12th March, the youth was told by Lord Chief Justice that his previous sentence was "severely unduly lenient" and was told he must spend three years behind bars for his offences.

The known gang member had admitted to the charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon as well as another charge of assault which took place just hours before the stabbing and three counts of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon for an offensive committed on Dolman Road just four days previous the Redlees Park assault.
