Head of Sales at Brentford BMW Dealership Jailed for Theft

Gave spare keys to recently purchased cars to two accomplices

The former head of sales at the Berry Chiswick BMW sales dealership in Brentford has been jailed for over five year after being found guilty of theft at Isleworth Crown Court.

40-year-old Michael Daniels of Ashford Surrey was involved in a scam in which recently purchased cars were stolen.

He took customer details from the firm’s database and gave them along with a spare set of keys to 28-year-old Alex Tingle from Ealing and Vincent Murphy. The cars were then taken to a car park in North West London and handed over to a man known only as 'Ali'. None of the stolen vehicles have been recovered and it is believed that they have been shipped overseas.

Over £200,000 worth of vehicles were stolen in this way between December 2015 and February 2016.

We have asked Berry Chiswick BMW for a comment but have not received a response.
