Pub in the Park Makes Switch to Gunnersbury Next Year

Food and musical festival previously held at Chiswick House

Pub in the Park claims to be the UK's biggest festival of its kind

November 28, 2024

Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park Festival has announced that next year it will be held in Gunnersbury Park.

Describing itself as the UK’s largest food and music festival, it combines live music from well known acts with stalls providing food from celebrity chefs.

Ministry of Sound Classical, Jack Savoretti, and Soul II Soul have been named as appear over the two days of the festival on Friday 30 May and 1 June.

No indication has been given as yet of likely attendance but it is understood that the popularity of this year’s event at Chiswick House Gardens has prompted the event organisers to seek a larger venue in the area.

Chiswick House has hosted Pub in the Park since 2019 and in 2024 acts included Busted, De La Soul, The Feeling, Scouting for Girls and Toploader as well as Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra.

The festival also contained a charity gala evening hosted by David and Georgia Tennant with guests including Gordon Brown, Claudia Winkelman, Alex Jones, Romesh Ranganthan, Lenny Henry and Stephen Mangan.

This is not the first event to make the same switch with Soho House moving its members’ event from the gardens of the stately home in Chiswick to Gunnersbury Park last year.

Tickets are not on sale for the event as yet, but you can register for updates on the Pub in the Park web site. In 2024 ticket prices started at £44 plus booking fee for the Chiswick House event.

Residents continue to express concern about the impact of festivals on the park particularly the way noise has discouraged wildlife. Gunnersbury Park says it has employed noise management consultants to reduce the impact of events on surrounding areas.
