Kids Cookery School receives Help a London Child grant

Unique local charity recognised for its voluntary work in the community

The Kids’ Cookery School is one of 295 children’s and young people’s projects across London, currently sharing £580,000 awarded by Capital Radio’s Help a London Child in their second wave of grant allocations.

Throughout March projects across London will be receiving their grants thanks to the efforts of the Help a London Child team.  The money will fund a variety of children’s and young people’s projects including: support & social groups for children with special needs; health projects; community & welfare groups; language and literacy projects; playgroups & toy libraries; refuge & homeless organisations; arts, dance, drama and sports groups; and youth projects.

Grant monies come from HALC fundraising events which last year included the Capital 10k, a fundraising ball, the Capital FM awards, a trek to China, Londoners running the New York Marathon and a Christmas event.

Kids Cookery SchoolThe Kids’ Cookery School (KCS) is a unique charity which teaches children about healthy eating and nutrition by offering hands-on cookery lessons. Children as young as three years old can take part in fun, creative and educational sessions at the purpose-built school in Acton.

The Kids’ Cookery School is dedicated to giving children the skills and knowledge they need to make informed food choices.
