Three prizes for Love Give Ink

Businesses celebrate at the Hounslow Business Awards 2016

It was a very successful evening for many local businesses at the Hounslow Business Awards with many of the top prizes going to firms based and operating in the Brentford and Chiswick areas.

Love Give Ink, a Brentford- based gift and print stationery business won Best New Business and Business of the Year, while its founder and director Martha Keith, picked up the Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Martha said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have been recognised by the Hounslow Business Awards in this way. We are so proud to be a local company employing local people and I hope this allows more of Hounslow to hear about us and what we do."

Brentford Market won the Best Charity or Social enterprise category.

The ceremony, held at the Hilton London Syon Park Hotel, saw a number of businesses joined by Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council and Councillor Theo Dennison, Cabinet Member for Finance and Citizen Engagement, Hounslow Council and the Mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Ajmer Grewal. A panel of industry and business leaders had the daunting task of picking the finalists and then winners from the nominations.

Councillor Steve Curran, Leader of Hounslow Council, said: “Our local businesses are the bedrock of commerce in Hounslow and provide many local jobs to residents. Congratulations to all the winners and the finalists for their continuing outstanding contributions to our business community.”

Stephen Fry, Chief Executive of the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, said,“Every part of the borough was celebrated as the home of innovators. Tonight demonstrated that Hounslow is brimming with talent.”
