Mary Macleod to Stand Again for Tories

Re-adopted to contest Brentford and Isleworth at next election

Brentford & Isleworth Conservative Association unanimously voted to re-adopted Mary Macleod as their candidate for the next general election.

She won the seat at the 2010 General Election from Ann Keen with 37.2% of the vote. The Brentford and Isleworth constituency is likely to be seen as a key marginal with Labour looking to regain the seat they have held for most of the time since it was formed.

Cllr Robert Oulds, Chairman of the Brentford & Isleworth Conservative Association said, “All in the local party have been deeply impressed with Mary Macleod. She is an outstanding MP, dedicated to serving her constituents. We are delighted and honoured that Mary will fight and win this seat at the next general election.”

Mary said, “I am delighted to be re-adopted as the Conservative candidate for Brentford & Isleworth for the 2015 general election. The last three years have been really busy, responding to over 14,000 constituents, holding 132 advice surgeries and meeting many schools, businesses and residents. There is still however much more I want to do. It has been an honour to serve you and I will continue to work hard to support everyone in my constituency over the years to come.”
