Local MP Mary Macleod Gets New PPS Appointment

Local MP Mary Macleod has been appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to Theresa Villiers, the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.

The MP for Brentford & Isleworth was formerly PPS to Culture Secretary Maria Miller, who resigned from her position last April following a row over her expenses claims.

Mary tweeted that she was "delighted" with her new appointment.

A number of messages of congratulation have also been posted on her Twitter page.
