Clubbing together for free fitness

Annabel Croft gets Hounslow on the go

During April and May, five leisure centres across Hounslow are offering five days of free gym, swim and exercise classes as part of the Get Active London campaign.

CIP and Hounslow Council have joined forces with the London Fitness Network to help you get fit and active to enjoy the benefits of a healthier lifestyle.

Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre and New Chiswick Pool, are getting active as part of the nationwide Get Active UK.

The five day fitness pass can be used at any of these local leisure centres and across any other London Fitness Network centres, perfect for those who work and live in different locations.

Ruth Powell, CIP’s Sales and Promotions Manager said “This is a perfect opportunity for people to come along to their local leisure centre and experience how easy it can be to get active and have some fun doing it - and it’s all for free.

“Whether you want to lose a little weight, give yourself the chance to do something with the family, or simply exercise to get rid of stress, it’s a great way to get in shape.”

London Fitness Network in partnership with the Fitness Industry Association and Sport England are throwing open the doors of another 400 gyms across the country as part of the nationwide Get Active UK.

This groundbreaking fitness campaign, to help the nation in the battle against obesity and focus on the countdown to London 2012, was launched by former British tennis ace and television star Annabel Croft.
