Forthcoming Disruption on Public Transport

During the coronavirus outbreak do not use public transport unless your journey is essential. If you do travel you must wear a face mask.

Due to the Covid-19 virus, the following service changes will be in place until further notice:

  • Waterloo & City line service,
  • No Night Tube or Night Overground service,
  • A reduced service is operating on all London Underground, London Overground, DLR, TfL Rail and London Trams.
  • Some stations will be closed. 

TfL says this information changes frequently. Check before you travel.

The track closure programme is changing regularly because of the restriction of work sites due to Covid-19, therefore check regularly for the latest information.

District line

Sunday 24 January

No service between Turnham Green and Richmond. No London Overground service between South Acton and Richmond. Replacement buses operate.

Replacement buses operateService DL3: Acton Central - South Acton (Acton Lane) - Turnham Green - Chiswick Park - Gunnersbury - Kew Gardens - Richmond.

Sunday 24 January

No service between South Acton and Richmond. No District line service between Turnham Green and Richmond. Replacement buses operate between Acton Central and Richmond.

Replacement buses operateService DL3: Acton Central (The Vale) - South Acton (Acton Lane) - Turnham Green - Chiswick Park - Gunnersbury - Kew Gardens (Royal Botanical Gardens) - Richmond.

Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 January

Platforms 1-10 at London Waterloo will be closed all day Saturday and Sunday due to engineering work. This will affect all services to and from London Waterloo. Services may be cancelled or retimed. Queenstown Road will be closed all weekend.

Saturday

A revised service will run between London Waterloo and Portsmouth via Guildford. These services will terminate at Portsmouth & Southsea due to work in the Portsmouth area.
A revised service will run between London Waterloo and Weymouth with some services leaving earlier.

London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Hounslow services will not run.
London Waterloo to Poole stopping services will start at Winchester.
London Waterloo to Portsmouth via Eastleigh services will start at Basingstoke.
London Waterloo to Salisbury stopping services will start at Basingstoke.
London Waterloo to Alton and London Waterloo to Basingstoke services will run as one train to Woking where the train will divide. Passengers for stations to Basingstoke should travel in the front portion. Passengers for stations to Alton should travel in the rear portion.
London Waterloo to Woking stopping services will be revised and will make additional stops.
London Waterloo to Hampton Court services will start at Surbiton.
London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham services will start at Surbiton.
London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom services will start at Wimbledon.
London Waterloo to Dorking services will not run.
London Waterloo to Chessington services will start at Wimbledon.
London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Kingston services will only run between Kingston and Clapham Junction via Richmond.
London Waterloo to Reading services will terminate at Ascot. Buses will run between Ascot and Reading due to other work taking place.
London Waterloo to Windsor services will depart earlier and call additionally at Wandsworth Town, Mortlake, North Sheen and St Margarets.
London Waterloo to Weybridge via Hounslow services will depart earlier.

Sunday

London Waterloo to Alton and London Waterloo to Basingstoke services will start at Woking. These services will only run hourly.
London Waterloo to Guildford via Woking stopping services will not run.
London Waterloo to Hampton Court services will start at Surbiton.
London Waterloo to Chessington services will not run.
London Waterloo to Dorking services will start at Worcester Park.
London Waterloo to Guildford via Epsom services will start at Worcester Park.
London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham services will start at Surbiton.
London Waterloo to London Waterloo via Kingston services will not run.
London Waterloo to Shepperton services will be diverted between Clapham Junction and Fulwell calling additionally at Wandsworth Town, Putney, Barnes, Mortlake, North Sheen, Richmond, St Margarets, Twickenham and Strawberry Hill.
The afternoon and evening London Waterloo to Kingston via Hounslow and Twickenham services will not run.
Buses will run between:
Clapham Junction, Surbiton and Woking
Clapham Junction and Chessington via Worcester Park.
Clapham Junction and Twickenham via Wimbledon and Kingston

Saturday 23 January

Engineering work is taking place between Balham and West Norwood, closing the line.

Buses will replace trains between Balham and West Croydon via Crystal Palace.

Hammersmith and City Line

Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January

No service on the whole line. Replacement buses operate between Liverpool Street / Canning Town and Barking.

piccadilly line

No planned engineering works

Circle line engineering works

No planned engineering works

TFL RAIL

No planned engineering works
