Ticket Inspector Attacked on 207 Bus in Hanwell


Police release image of man who they would like to question

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to question after a ticket inspector was attacked on a bus through Hanwell.

Officers from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are appealing for help in identifying the man following an assault on a Transport for London (TfL) Revenue Protection Inspector.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, 7 January, at about 12:20hrs on a route 207 bus on Uxbridge Road, W7 when the victim, a 32-year-old man, was attacked after asking to check a ticket.

The victim was grabbed by the suspect who then threw several punches at him.

He sustained scratches to his arm and soreness to his face and did not require hospital treatment.

The suspect is described as a Somali man about 5ft 8ins aged between 35 to 40 years, very slim build, wearing a denim jacket.
