Horrifying Sexual Assault on Ealing Schoolgirl

Police appeal for information on gang of five attackers

An Ealing schoolgirl has been raped and sexually assaulted by a gang of five teenagers.

The 13-year-old victim was on her way home when the attack took place. She had arranged to meet a teenage boy outside a sandwich shop and got off her bus near Dean Gardens, West Ealing at around 4pm on Monday 23rd April.

The teenager was already with two other boys and the group walked the short distance to the Green Man Estate.
On arriving at a block of flats in Tintern Court they went up to one of the upper floors where they were joined by two more teenage boys.

The victim was then subjected to a terrifying attack as she was raped and sexually assaulted by all five gang members
As soon as she could she fled the scene and made her way home where her family called the police.

The suspects are described as being a mixture of black and mixed race - all aged between 14 and 17.

Police are keen to trace a woman, described only as white, who they believe may have spoken to the victim as she left the Green Man Estate at about 4.30pm. It is unclear whether the woman was leaving an address or returning home at the time and police believe she may have seen the suspects.

Detective Inspector Graham Hamilton of Ealing Police's Sapphire Unit said: "This was a deeply traumatic ordeal for the victim and we are treating this incident very seriously. We are determined to catch these individuals and believe they may live locally.

"During the incident the victim believes she heard the names Bim and Josh being mentioned and police are keen to speak to anyone who may recognise these names. We are anxious to trace the female who spoke to our victim as she fled the scene and would appeal to that person or anyone who may know her to contact us."

A 15yr old male from West Ealing was arrested on 23rd April in connection with this incident. He was charged with rape on 24th April 2007. He appeared at Ealing Magistrates Court on 25th April and has been remanded in custody at a young offenders institution.
