An opportunity has arisen in the constituency office of Rupa Huq MP for a Parliamentary Assistant. The role combines casework and research responsibilities, supporting both constituency matters and parliamentary activity. The position is based in London and offers the chance to work across both Westminster and the Ealing Central and Acton constituency.

The Ealing Central and Acton MP says she is particularly keen to recruit someone from the constituency as their local knowledge will be helpful with casework.

The successful candidate will be expected to assist constituents with a range of issues, including housing, benefits, and immigration, while also contributing to policy research and speech preparation. Strong communication skills, initiative, and the ability to manage a varied workload are essential.

The role is permanent and will be remunerated in line with IPSA administrative pay scales, depending on experience. Applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM on 3 October 2025. Interviews are scheduled for 10 October.

Further details, including the person specification and application form, are available on Rupa Huq MP’s website and via the official job listing on w4mp.

Completed applications should be emailed to rupa.huq.mp@parliament.uk.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
