Proxy Vote Deadline This Friday

Getting ready for European Parliament elections on May 23rd

European Election

The deadline for registering to vote in the 23 May 2019 Election has now passed.

Hounslow voters who requested a postal vote should look out for their postal vote pack, as these are being sent out this week (8 to 15 May 2019).

If you requested a postal vote but have not received it by 17 May 2019 please contact the Elections team by emailing elections@hounslow.gov.uk

The deadline to return your completed postal vote is 10pm on 23 May 2019.

Proxy vote

In certain circumstances, you can appoint someone else to vote for you. This is called a proxy vote. Apply for a proxy vote on the Your Vote Matters website by downloading the relevant form and returning the scanned form to elections@hounslow.gov.uk or posting it to Electoral Services, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB.

The deadline for applying for a proxy vote is 5pm, on 15 May 2019.

Emergency proxy

If you are taken ill or get unexpected work commitments after the deadline for applying for a proxy vote, which prevents you from attending the polling station on polling day, you can appoint a proxy to vote for you. You will need a doctor or employer to support your application.

You can apply for an emergency proxy to vote after 5pm, 15 May 2019  on the About My Vote website by downloading the relevant form and returning the scanned form to elections@hounslow.gov.uk or posting it to Electoral Services, Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, Hounslow, TW3 3EB.
