Homeless Not Hopeless Festival

Live music and stall this Saturday at Boston Manor Park

There will be a Walled Garden Fundraiser this Saturday 18th March in Boston Manor Park between noon and 3pm.

Live music, speakers, food and drink, stalls all to fundraise for the homeless. Donations of good quality clothing and non-perishable foods will be gratefully received.

Homeless not hopeless

Linda Massey explained how this happened:

"It is great when our young people take the initiative and come up with a project that they believe will make a difference.  So when I got an email from 17 year old Jai, who had volunteered last year to work in the park café and also performed at the Alice Gross event within the walled garden the year before, I agreed to meet up with her to see how we (The Friends of Boston Manor) could help take her and her team's ideas forward.  The team is the Ealing and Hounslow Youth Board working in association with the Challenge Network and National Citizen Service".

"Their plan is to put on a mini event which will comprise of live bands and speakers from noon through to 3pm.  Although entry to the walled garden event will be free they will have charity buckets ready for all that loose change (and paper money would be very welcome).  There will be food and drink, a raffle, a games stall and particularly useful to the homeless an area where good quality unwanted clothes and non-perishable foods can be donated to be transferred later to the needy via a charity.    I hope they get lots of support".

The event is organised by the Ealing and Hounslow Youth Board in assocation with The Challenge, National Citizen Service and friends of Boston Manor.
