The weather is set fair for this year’s Brentford Festival which is taking place this Sunday (3 September) in Blondin Park.

What describes itself as West London's friendliest festival, offers live music, street food, kids' activities and arts and crafts stalls with no entrance charge.

There will be a dog show, a petting farm, and a fairground as well as a host of food stalls including Auntie Bessie’s Jerk Pit, a Hog Roast, Thai Café and Gourmet Burgers.

Getting there is easy particularly as a free circular Heritage Bus service is being offered by Redroutemaster.com from 11.40am to 6:20pm serving the area including Northfield Avenue, Uxbridge Road in West Ealing, Boston Road, Syon Lane and Brentford High Street. It will be stopping at regular bus stops along the route. Be aware that the bus is not wheelchair accessible.

12:55 Remedy Head
13:45 The ELS
14:35 For One Night Only
15:25 London Zappa Collective

17:05 Dragonfly

The festival runs from noon to 6pm at Blondin Park (W5 4UR).

This site remains committed to providing local community news and public interest journalism.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.

We've always done that and won't be changing, in fact we'd like to do more.

However, the readership that these stories generates is often below that needed to cover the cost of producing them. Our financial resources are limited and the local media environment is intensely competitive so there is a constraint on what we can do.

One-off donations are also appreciated. Choose The Amount You Wish To Contribute.

For businesses we offer the chance to be a corporate sponsor of community content on the site. For £30 plus VAT per month you will be the designated sponsor of at least one article a month with your logo appearing if supplied. If there is a specific community group or initiative you'd like to support we can make sure your sponsorship is featured on related content for a one off payment of £50 plus VAT.
