A chance to see the historic buildings and take part in a range of fun family activities

Have you ever taken a walk in Gunnersbury Park and wondered what’s inside some of the mysterious and beautiful outbuildings? Here is your opportunity to find out. On Sunday 18th September, as part of Open House London, two of the 18th Century outbuildings, The Temple and Princess Amelia’s Bathhouse, will open their doors to the public.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view inside both of these rarely-seen buildings, and a costumed interpreter – our own ‘Princess Amelia’ - will be in the Bathhouse to explain the 18th Century fashion for grottoes and outdoor bathing, as well as sharing some rather unusual health and beauty secrets.

The Large Mansion, once the country residence of the illustrious Rothschild family and now home to Gunnersbury Park Museum, will also be open as usual. Tours of the beautifully preserved, original Victorian Kitchens will be available from 1 – 4.30pm.
Admission

At the Potomac Lake:
Pond dipping: 11-11.45am, 2-2.45pm.
Have a go at fishing: Drop-in sessions 11am-3pm.

Open House London: 11.30am-5pm.

Mini beast safari: 12.15-1pm.
Museum and tours of the Victorian kitchens: 1-4.30pm
Tree walk: 3pm. Meet outside Gunnersbury Park Museum
Bat walk: 7.30pm. Meet outside Gunnersbury Park Museum

No booking required but places are limited.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
