Car park resurfacing works at Gunnersbury Park

Car park will be closed for the week

Resurfacing work to improve the main car park at Gunnersbury Park began on Wednesday.

The works will start by the café before moving on to the area around the pond, along the path by the side of the large children’s playing area, and into the car park.

As a result, the car park will have to be closed for the duration of the work.  We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause, and will work with our contractors to minimise any disruption and complete the work as soon as possible.

The nearest alternative historic parks with public parking, which give the opportunity to explore a different park and see what other heritage the borough has to offer, are:

Boston Manor park: car park entrance off Boston Manor Road

Chiswick House and Gardens: car park entrance off the A4 Great West Road

The works should be completed by Wednesday, 21 March.

People visiting Gunnersbury Park or the Museum on foot can use any of the other nine entrances, but are advised that authorised park vehicles will be using these alternative routes as well.

Deliveries and pre-booked appointments to the Museum will operate as normal.
