Women will run race for Cancer Research UK
Following the great success of Race for Life 2005 and Cancer Research UK will be returning to Gunnersbury Park for the 4th year running on Sunday 21st May 2006 starting at 11.00am.
Since Race for Life started in 1994, an amazing £328,000 has been raised in the Boroughs of Ealing and Hounslow alone. With continued local help, they hope to smash the current 2006 target of £270,000 and have a great day out with family and friends whilst they do it.
The 5km course will take participants around Gunnersbury Park and will be suitable for wheelchair users (please note that some of the course is on grass).
A spokesperson for Race for Life said "Without the help and support of the following people, Race for Life 2006 in Ealing and Hounslow would be impossible. A big thank you must go to Hounslow Council, Ealing, Southall and Middlesex Athletics Club and Surrey Herald & News."
Cancer Research UK encourage no smoking at all Race for Life events. Support your local runners and donate to this important and worthwhile charity.
