Jacques Audiard's A Prophet has demonstrated yet again the strength of France's directing tradition. Jon Davies shows how his work had developed to make him one of France's leading talents. Includes a screening of A Prophet.

South Asian Classic Cinema

Lalit Mohan Joshi, Director SACF, will discuss the importance of the 1975 classic Hindi film Nishant (Night's End), directed by Shyam Benegal. The multi-award-winning film focuses on the power of the feudalism in rural India and the sexual exploitation of women. Includes a screening of the film.
