Watermans' Jake Curran in The Holding from Friday 8th

In an unusual confluence of events Jake Curran who is one of Watermans’ Box Office team will be appearing a new film which will receive its first public screening at Watermans this Friday.

Sometimes our worst secrets can' be buried. Sometimes, what we think is the right thing to do can be the most dangerous thing of all.

On an isolated farm in the English Courntryside, Cassie Naylor kills her husband to protect her daughters from him. Eight months later, when the charming drifter, Aden turns up, her terrible secret comes back to haunt her in the most horrifying and unexpected way.

The Holding is a burning thriller about the destructive nature of secrets and the shocking lenghths people will go to fight for what they value most in life.

After the 6.45pm screening on Friday 9 Sept there will be a Q & A with the director Susan Jacobson and guests

Jake Curran is a popular local actor who works at Watermans when not on screen or on TV. His latest film The Holding (15), is a new British thriller film directed by Susan Jacobson. It was filmed in the Peak District in Derbyshire just outside the village of Longnor and stars Kierston Wareing, Vincent Regan and our very own Jake Curran as Noah.
