Watermans are delighted to be part of the Shakespeare's Globe on Screen 2013 season this summer. During June, July and August Watermans will screen 3 pre-recorded live blockbuster productions taken from the Globe's award-winning 2012 theatre season. This is the third time that Watermans has partnered with the Globe on Screen and the 2013 programme consists of plays listed below.

The Taming of the Shrew

Wednesday 31 July at 7pm & Sunday 4 August at 2pm

"Remarkable...superb"
The Independent

Shakespeare's notorious battle of the sexes gives us one of theatre's great screwball double-acts in the shape of Katherina and Petruchio – a couple hell-bent on confusing and outwitting each other right up to the play's controversial conclusion. Director Toby Frow gives us “a riotous mixture of verbal dexterity and slapstick” in an exhilarating production that delighted audiences at the Globe. Katherina is played by the Olivier Award-winning Samantha Spiro, who returns to the Globe as Lady Macbeth this summer.

All tickets for the Pre-recorded live screenings will be £12 for the last two back rows or £11 with Watermans Friends discount. For the rest of the auditorium tickets will cost £10 or £9 with Watermans Friends £1 discount.
