Watermans

Stomp stomp, the dinosaurs are coming! October Half Term Week is Dinosaur Week at Watermans (Wed 28-Sat 31 Oct). Dinosaurs are taking over with a hilarious new play from Oxford Playhouse, the ever inventive Tea Dance for Little People’s Dinosaur Land and a visit from a real live dinosaur. There’s plenty to keep everyone entertained (age 0-11) and what’s more Watermans is located on the river with lovely river walks all around, and a prettily situated playground. So it’s a great day out to keep everyone happy at half term!

Meet the Dinosaur

Oxford Playhouse’s new play What To Do When You Find a Dinosaur (age 4-8) is a highlight. According to the Guardian it ‘takes the skeleton of recorded fact and locates the funny bone’ as it follows eccentric scientist William Buckland as he lets the world know about his new discovery: the Megalosaurus.

Watermans’ bar is being transformed by Tea Dance for Little People into Dinosaur Land complete with volcano and swamp. Enter if you dare! You’ll learn the dino stomp, and go on a bone hunt. Or Make a Dino Bath Bomb to take home with you.

Older children (8-11) can take part in a Dino Drama Adventure where they’ll design their own dinosaur theme park. But they’ll need to be prepared with the dinosaurs escape!

And on Saturday we’ll be visited by real life dinosaur. Yes it’s your chance to Meet the Dinosaur, feed it and, errr, pet it!

Buy events individually or get the Theatre, Dino Bath Bomb making and Dinosaur Land for just £15.50 – a great value day out.
