Children invited to join in library events throughout the holidays
It's fun, free and designed for all children, whatever their reading ability. The aim of the challenge is to help children improve their reading skills and confidence during the holidays.
Each library will be holding special events, from Wednesday 25 July till the end of August, and children can simply pop in to collect a special Summer Reading Challenge events programme and find out how to join in.
Here's what's on the programme:
Dennis and the chamber of mischief - join performer Dan McGarry for this brand new Dennis the Menace story.

Free event that's suitable for children aged 6 and over. To book a free place, contact the library.
Superhero mask making - come dressed as your favourite superhero and make a mask to match. Suitable for children aged 5 and over.

Zoolab - meet Zoolab's team of animals and rangers.
