Stunt by Madame Tussauds brings creepily realistic couple to Fulham
Residents of Sands End in Fulham were somewhat startled this week to see Royal couple Prince Harry and his bride Meghan strolling down Stephendale Road and dropping into The Sands End pub for a lunchtime drink.
The couple were also spotted south of the river walking through Battersea park accompanied by a Beagle.
Closer examination however would reveal that the couple had fixed expressions and rather waxy complexions. The royal outing was actually a stunt by Madame Tussauds, publicising its new attraction, Meghan and Harry LIVE, an 'exciting innovation' which it says allows guests to feel as if they are really meeting the couple in person.
The creepily realistic effect is achieved by actors disguising their real features by slipping on waxwork heads and wigs.
Their companion canine companion was also an actor, standing in for Meghan's pet Beagle Guy.
The Sands End meanwhile may have been chosen because Harry was spotted drinking there before he became a married man.
Madame Tussauds were obviously delighted with the results, tweeting rather excitedly at @MadameTussauds: "
OMG! Harry and Meghan gave us a sneak peek into what a #DayInTheLife of the Royal newlyweds is like and all we can say is... #CoupleGoals! #FamousFun ."
