Changes at Hounslow Council Cabinet


Cllr Colin Ellar becomes deputy leader

Councillors approved the cabinet members for the next municipal year at last night’s meeting of the Borough Council (Tuesday 15 May).

Three new cabinet members have been appointed, including Cllr Colin Ellar (Hounslow Heath ward) as Deputy Leader and lead member for environment, Cllr Sue Sampson (Isleworth ward), as cabinet member for performance and customer care, and Cllr Ajmer Grewal (Hounslow Central ward), who is the new cabinet member for leisure and well-being.

Council leader Jagdish Sharma said:

“I would like to thank all the cabinet members over the past year for their hard work and commitment.

“As we move forward, I have selected a cabinet that provides both continuity and new blood, and look forward to working with my colleagues to improve the lives of the borough’s residents.”
