Renew Your Freedom Pass

Don't leave it until it expires in March

The Freedom Pass allows Londoners aged 60 and over, plus eligible disabled residents, to travel for free on the capital’s buses, trains, London Underground, trams, and the Docklands Light Railway, as well as local buses across the country.

As of Monday 5 February, older residents in Hounslow with a Freedom Pass expiring in March 2018 will receive a letter asking them to renew their pass.

If you’ve received a letter, you can renew your pass online at www.freedompass.org/renew. You just need your current freedom pass with you and the letter containing your unique renewal number and your new pass will be sent within three weeks once you’ve completed the renewal. Your letter will also include a paper form for those who will need to renew via post.

If your name and/or address details have changed since you originally applied for your Freedom Pass you will be required to provide proof of your new details. If you are renewing online you can upload the required documentation, alternatively you can return the required documentation by post. Freedom Passes cannot be renewed at the Post Office.

Residents who do not receive their renewal letter by 28 February 2018 can contact the Freedom Pass team directly by email info@freedompass.org or by calling the helpline 0300 330 1433.

If you hold a Disabled Persons Freedom Pass which expires on 31 March 2018, your ongoing entitlement will be reviewed, and if you are eligible your new pass will be posted to you in late February.

Councillor Kamaljit Kaur, Cabinet member Adult Social Care, Health Services and Public Health, Hounslow Council said, “The Freedom Pass is highly valued by our older, retired and disabled residents in helping them to live as independent a life as possible.

“I would urge all pass holders across the borough to ensure they renew their passes well ahead of the 31 March deadline, so that you can carry on enjoying the great benefits of this scheme.”

To ensure you receive your Freedom Pass by 31 March 2018 renew now and your pass will be sent to you within three weeks of applying, as long as your application is successful. You can track the progress of your Freedom Pass renewal at www.freedompass.org/tracker even if you don’t create an account online.
