Time for the Christmas decorations to come down? Why not take advantage of the council's doorstep recycling services.
Wrapping paper, Christmas cards and envelopes, drinks cans, glass bottles, jars, juice cartons and plastic bottles can all be placed in recycling sacks – but metallic 'foil' style wrapping paper should not be added.

Where to leave your Christmas tree
If you have a front garden - Place your tree alongside your dustbins and recycling sacks inside your garden.
If you do not have a front garden - Place your tree on the pavement directly in front of your home if your front door opens directly onto it. However, do not do this before 6.30pm on the day before the collection is due.
Christmas tree dumping
Leaving Christmas trees on the pavement in contravention of the above advice is fly-tipping. This is a criminal offence which may result in a fine or prosecution.
Rubbish and recycling collections over the Christmas period
There are some changes to rubbish and recycling collections over the Christmas period. No collections will take place on Christmas Day or New Year's Day, so collections will be one day later than normal.
