Liberal Democrats open 'World Cafe'

Open forum to discuss local political issues

Local Liberal Democrats are borrowing an idea from the US Democrats as part of their campaign for the looming election.

The World Café concept was used in 2004 US Presidential race by a number of Democrat challengers to drive a grass roots campaign.

The World Café lasts just one and a half hours and provides an open forum. The discussion is promised to be relaxed and there are soft drinks and snacks. People of all schools of thought and political persuasion are welcome.

The Liberal democrats will be raising some 'big' questions such as 'What do you want built in your area' and how should graffiti be tackled as well as council spending priorities.

If anyone has as a burning issue that should be discussed, or they can not come to the World Café, they should submit ideas to worldcafes@hounslowlibdems.org.uk

A report will be produced based on the ideas and key insights that come out of the World Cafés. This will be used to inform the Liberal Democrats - and possibly other partie' - proposals for future development in the area.

If you are planning to attend either email worldcafes@hounslowlibdems.org.uk or call 07788 116159
