A Vision for Hounslow 2030

Hounslow asking for residents' opinions

Hounslow Together, the partnership of organisations* that deliver key services in the borough, needs the help of residents to shape its vision for the future.

Along with the rest of the country, Hounslow Together has some tough financial challenges to overcome, but the partners are keen that the vision remains ambitious and challenging and reflects the views of residents, businesses and voluntary organisations.

Cllr Jagdish Sharma, Leader of the council and chair of Hounslow Together, said: “We have no choice but to deal with the economic situation we face, but the partners will overcome these challenges and use them as a chance to find new and creative ways of providing services in the borough.

“I’d encourage anyone interested in seeing this borough become all that it can be to take part in this consultation. For many, 2030 seems a long time in the future, but we need to start now to make our vision a reality.”

The consultation, which is being posted to every home in the borough, will ask residents about their feelings on the draft vision which has been drawn up by Hounslow Together partners.

There are several ways that residents can confidentially share their views. They can:

•           fill in the questionnaire delivered to their homes and post it back to the Civic Centre
•           return the completed questionnaire to the Civic Centre or local library
•           have their say in person by attending a January area committee meeting, or
