Mark Bowen To Fight for Alan Keen's Seat


Conservative councillor will be party candidate

The Conservative Party has announced that Mark Bowen will be the party's candidate for the Feltham and Heston by-election to replace the seat held by the late Labour MP Alan Keen.

Mr. Bowen has fought the seat at the last two general elections and is Leader of the Conservative Group on Hounslow Council.

“It is a real privilege to be the Conservative candidate for Feltham and Heston, my home constituency. Having lived in the constituency for the past 13 years, it really is a great honour and I am extremely proud of my local area. "he said in a statement.

“I have been a councillor for the last 9 years and have fought the last two general elections as the Conservative Candidate. I therefore, have a proven track record of working hard for everyone in the community and am passionate about doing everything I can to help improve the lives of local people.”

Conservative Party Co-Chairman, Sayeeda Warsi said, “I am delighted to welcome such a strong, hard-working candidate in Mark Bowen for Feltham and Heston.

“This is Mark’s home turf – and he has already proved he can deliver here, having served his community on the council for nearly a decade."
