Trailer "out of character with the rest of the street"
Residents of an Isleworth street will no longer have to suffer the sight of a commercial trailer stored in a front garden, after councillors unanimously agreed to take action to have it removed.
Residents complained to local councillors about the trailer being stored on the property in Amhurst Gardens, where it blocked views for neighbours, and was out of character with the rest of the street.
Officers from the council visited the property and discovered the breach of planning control, as the residential garden was being used as commercial storage for the trailer without permission.
Cllr Steve Curran, who chairs the council’s planning (enforcement) sub-committee said:
“I am delighted we’ve been able to take action on behalf of residents to get rid of this eyesore, which has blighted the street for so long.”
At the committee meeting, councillors unanimously voted to support the officer’s recommendation to issue an enforcement notice against the property.
