Ruth Cadbury MP is riding the Ride London event on Sunday (31 July) with a team of 27 riders from Brentford FC Community Sports Trust and local firms, raising funds for the important local work of the Trust.

Ruth, who chairs the All Party Parliamentary Group on Cycling is joining staff and coaches from Brentford Community Sports Trust, Brentford Football Club Board and staff and sponsors.

She said, “I have worked with the Sports Trust since it was founded 29 years ago. They do fantastic work providing a range of sports and other opportunities to local young people, particularly youngsters who otherwise would not get the opportunities they offer. I’m particularly impressed with the work they do on estates such as Haverfield and Ivybridge providing positive activities.”

She added “Funds raised on Sunday’s Ride London event will enable the Trust to invest more in developing more community projects and the money raised through last year’s RideLondon created a new job at the Trust.”

The team will be wearing a matching bright yellow kit emblazoned with the Brentford FC badge which has been made possible through partnerships with businesses including Galileo Homes, Phil Robinson Builders, Putney Bridge Taxis, Reed Smith, Reliable Networks, Taylor Wessing, Tea Pigs and The Window Centre.

Ruth will be riding with one of the team’s 3 peleton relay teams of 4 riders.
