Newly-refurbished library to open on March 15
Author Rosie Alison will talk about her transition from television producer to novelist at the newly-refurbished Askew Road Library on Thursday 18 March 2010 at 6.30pm (doors open at 6pm).
Rosie Alison read English at Oxford. She spent over ten years working in television, as a producer-director of arts documentaries (her director credits include The South
Bank Show, Omnibus and Grand Designs). Currently Head of Development at Heyday Films
in the UK she has recently co-produced two feature films (The Boy in the Striped
Pyjamas, and the Michael Caine film Is There Anybody There?). Her debut novel, The
Very Thought of You (Alma 2009) was Longlisted for RNA Romantic Novel of the Year
2010 and for Le Prince Maurice Prize for Literary Love Stories. Rosie will tell us
about her transition into novel writing.
