Costume designs made from recycled materials
The winning entries in the Style Junkies competition, which called on Merton students to demonstrate their inventiveness and creativity in a costume design competition using recycled materials, go on display from June 29.
They are on show at the Sustainable Living Centre, the Stable Yard, Morden Hall Park, between 29 June and 26 July, 11am to 4pm.
Alongside the costumes, you will be able to see how recycled materials are reprocessed and try out some fantastic chairs and other objects made from recycled materials.
There will also be free drop-in workshops for children and adults every Sunday in July. You will be able to draw and collage your vision of a recycled house that artist Rosa Nussbaum will insert into a virtual landscape. See how your visions for an eco-future could become a reality!
Councillor of Environment and Regeneration, Andrew Judge, said: "The Style Junkie competition is a brilliant way for students to challenge their design skills whilst also learning how to put recycled materials to good use."
